so here to blog about my trip on 22 - 25
dec 07. (:
Went to the airport in 3 cabs at like 5.30am. After checking in and all, its
alr the last call
lah. Cant stand my relatives who are super draggy
lah.
Arghs. Anyway we reached
vietnam,ho chi
minh city,which is also known as Saigon , at 9plus. Their time is one hour slower than S
ingapore. Took those 7
seaters cab back to the hotel. Was wondering how ho chi
minh will be like during the journey
lah. The streets was super packed ... not car but motorbikes. Was told that they have a population of 900 million and about 500 million of them ride a bike
leh! And their max number peeps on a bike is 2 adults and 2 children! You can even see some of them have 5 peeps on it can. Some adult just carried their baby
infront and cover them with cloth and off they go. It was really
amazing. Being able to have so many peeps on a bike, one of the reason is they are slim. You can hardly hardly see someone obese. For that 4 days, i see none, except for those slightly chubby ones.
Hahs.
anyway most of the streets have this!

soon after, we reached the hotel. We went for our lunch at the shop just beside the hotel. Just step out of the hotels and you see those
vietnamese coming to you. They are asking you to buy their fruits , chewing gums or whatever they sell
lah. Its like you
dont even need to go shop , they come and let you shop that kinda thingy. Shop in their market after lunch. it was fun
lah. Their market got so many things to buy one
luh. then i went to look for tour guide for the next 2 days then, cant afford to let those adults settle
lah , so draggy one. Went back hotel to sleep after that and i fall asleep for 6 hours! Damn it
lah , wasted my one day there sleeping. Woke up and rushed off for dinner at this restaurant , and their food was good!

Second Day
Went to this place whereby they show how the vietnamese managed to live during the war time with US .
before going in , we watched a video inside..
thats the model of how they used to live underground during war time. they have 3 levels. The first level was 2-3m, second level was 5-6m, and the third level was 7-8m.
here's the real one. the shelter part .. the US used to attack them by pouring water in because they thought the vietnamese will die there. But the vietnamese was smart enough to link it very far ... a a few kilometers underground and even link it to the sea!

and so we decided to go inside the tunnel...
the tunnel ... it was damn dark lah. and we didnt have torch light. so i use the flash of the camera to find way and chiong out straight ..
hehs .. my mom and cousins laughed at me and say i was damn zai to take pics inside lah..

lah.

And after this , we travelled for like 1.5 hours up to cambodia. Just the borders between Cambodia and Vietnam. Went to their casino to gamble. My lil cousins who are below 18 have got nothing to play lah,except for eating non stop there. Anyway i did win a lil there. (: But i think my lil 4 year old cousin is the luckiest of all , she put in USD 1 into the jackpot machine and came out with USD 67. Aint she a lucky girl? (:
